  • Meet Your Teachers!
Brian Nelson (aka Teacher B) is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston where he studied a variety of instruments and musical styles. He has played music for more than 25 years and taught music for fifteen. From West African drum and dance to ukulele sing alongs to guitar lessons for all ages, Nelson brings his passion for music and life into the classroom. In addition to teaching and playing music, he is also the co-found and Artistic Director of Queen Bee Music Association. Teacher Jules Hoffman (they/them) is an eclectic artist and visionary based in Northern New Mexico. As a singer-songwriter, Jules has toured, opened for major acts and performed at the SXSW music festival. Jules’ passion for music extends to teaching, taking them all over the world and all over YouTube. Jules uses videography, production and visual art as a way to connect beyond their music. When Jules isn’t making music they are usually cooking for friends or hiking with their dog. Jules is teaching ukulele during Impact Music Camp, June 24-28, 2024. Lindsay Taylor, co-founder and Executive Director of Queen Bee Music Association, has been teaching a variety of summer camps for more than 20 years, from rafting down rivers, to dance and musical theater, to playing mandolin and ukulele. She loves singing silly songs with kids, and watching their musical curiosity shine in summer camp! Violet Briggs (camp administrator) first joined the Queen Bee team as a Movement Instructor for Queen Bee's 2022 summer camps and couldn't stay away. Since then, she has been assisting Sarah-Jane at the weekly Kids Sing Along classes and providing administrative and marketing support, including running Queen Bee's social media channels. She has been inspired by all of these music-learners around her and is excited to finally learn to play guitar.
