Songwriting Santa Fe
A four-day songwriting camp and retreat in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Save the dates for 2024: September 20-22.
Dedicate a weekend to your songwriting craft. This four-day inclusive retreat and camp for adults features ample workshops with award-winning faculty members, dedicated time to write, and gathering spaces to forge connections with peers.

Each evening features a special event, including a Welcome Event on Thursday, a Friday evening excursion into downtown Santa Fe for a Faculty Concert at San Miguel Mission, a 400+ year old chapel in the heart of the City Different. Songwriting Santa Fe continues with a Song Circle on Saturday and a Sunday Open Mic, which will be professionally recorded allowing each participant to go home with high-quality promotional video material for their work.
Award-Winning Faculty
We're delighted to have Melody Walker, Martin Gilmore, and Jovan Mays join the Songwriting Santa Fe faculty this year. Faculty members will host workshops and are available for one-on-one sessions throughout the weekend. Meet the faculty members.
A Schedule Built for Inspiration
Each day consists of multiple workshop options for beginning and experienced songwriters and performers, ample writing time, interspersed with other gatherings. Hotel rooms are equipped with desks, and for those who like to write outdoors, the 2,400 acre property provides a multitude of quiet places to write and play. See the schedule.
Video Content to Share
On Sunday evening, Songwriting Santa Fe concludes with an open mic event, which will be professionally filmed and edited by Studio Red Media Company. Participants will receive their individual videos for their own promotional use.
Registration Information
Songwriting Santa Fe is a four-day camp and retreat, held September 28-October 2, 2023, with the option to be all-inclusive of lodging and meals for participants. Registration fees increase after August 1—register now to lock in your early-bird price! Payment plans are available. Registration closes August 27, 2023.

Base Tuition: $500 (early-bird)
Includes access to day-time workshops and evening events, including ticket to faculty concert and professionally recorded and edited video of participant's open mic performance.

Meal Package: $90
Includes all on-site meals from Thursday dinner through Monday breakfast. Saturday dinner is not included as part of the meal package—participants will be in downtown Santa Fe prior to the faculty concert with many dining options to choose from.

Lodging: $16-$120/night
Lodging options for participants are tent camping on site, RV hook-up, or hotel room with full bathroom and writing desk. When registering, you'll have the option to select three or four night stays for each of these options.

Non-participant Fee: $125
Have a guest that would like to stay with you and enjoy some quiet time or the surrounding hiking trails? Non-participant fees include all meals and tickets to the Saturday concert and Sunday open mic. If they will not be sharing a room with the participant, extra lodging fees may occur. Glorieta Camps
A 2,400 acre mountain retreat outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
This all-inclusive songwriting retreat takes place at Glorieta Camps, a thirty minute drive from downtown Santa Fe. The conference and retreat center features a range of lodging for every budget, 20+ miles of hiking trails, gardens, and gathering spaces for song circles, late-night jams, and workshops.
Glorieta lies at 7,500 feet in altitude, with typically warm daytime temps that cool off significantly at night.​
Lodging + Meals

$120/night: Hotel with double queen beds or a single king size bed, full bathroom and writing desk

$26/night: RV pad with 50 amp electric hook-ups

All meals while on campus take place in the dining hall, served family-style.

Glorieta Camps is a peanut-free kitchen, but participants with other allergies are welcome to bring their own food, with access to an allergy-friendly refrigerator and microwave.
